I use this hanger for finished rug punch wall hangings, wool and cotton applique designs and quilt wall hangings. If you have textiles from Native American art, you could use this as well.
It is best not to use a piece that is wider than 17 inches. I have not been successful with using anything wider than the intended width of 17 inches for rugs. The weight of the rug tends to pull away and will not stay on the hanger.
