Our Story
Our lives together started way back in high school. We grew up together!
With almost fifty years of marriage and raising two quite successful daughters, we decided to go down a new path together. Goldenrod Primitives has been a dream of mine for the longest time. When I mentioned it to Steve he said, “When do we start?” You gotta love that man—always supportive. So… welcome to our little piece of heaven.

We love looking out our back door with the goldenrod everywhere. What a beauty God has given us to admire during the early autumn season. We take in the pine trees losing needles, dropping pine cones to adorn our Thanksgiving table, and wreaths for the Christmas season. January and February bring us the daffodils sprouting through the cold earth. Out of the blue, it’s time for spring to explode with flowers and butterflies everywhere.
Why “Goldenrod”?
Goldenrod reminds us to slow down, notice the beauty, and enjoy the seasons as they come. It’s the feeling we want in our home—and the feeling we hope you find in our shoppe, too.
What we make (and why we love it)
Our Shop is a mix of things we love the most: wool, fiber arts, and woodworking. We create pieces that help build a ‘cozy’ handmade home. — Whether you are stitching, punching rugs, decorating, or choosing a meaningful gift. Steve creates our custom oak wood signs and handcrafted wood pieces—made to bring warmth to your home and make gifting more meaningful.
